• I was working on a police officer involved shooting case. The officer was facing a five year prison maximum sentence, and to make matters worse, at this point in history the news media and social media were scrutinizing and politicizing the case, trying to find our officer and any police officer guilty in the court of public opinion after the death of George Floyd. The stakes were high, along with the social pressure and stress. Things were not looking good for our side.
  
• I met Sarath at court when he was working with Craig Cooley. Sarath had helped Craig with a case that could have involved a life in prison sentence for Craig’s client. This was a retrial, the first one was hung jury. Craig won a not guilty on all counts with Sarath’s help.
  
• I realized then that I needed to have him on my police involved shooting case. I am glad I did.
  
• I coordinated with Sarath, and made him my expert technologist, as well as the expert technologist with the Southern States PBA. I introduced him to Andrew Meyer, my co-counsel, and together, we grabbed the bull by the horns.
  
• Sarath pulled out all the technological stops and went above and beyond to deliver an unbelievable result for the legal team.
  
• I was able to call, text, and email him day or night, and he would respond ASAP. He did that for everyone on the legal team. If anyone had a technical question or concern, he was there for us.
  
• I provided him with photos of my gun and he was able to isolate the gun and transpose it in multiple angles and various lighting scenarios for an exhibit.
  
• In addition, he created a custom made police communications radio transmission chart, and a diagram laying out the communications between the police officer and the police dispatcher.

• It was like movie magic, with what he could do with his unique technical skill set.

• The opposition was presenting the court with senseless exhibits in order to muddy the water and waste time.
  They went to the extent of even trying to declare a mistrial. Sarath accompanied me into chambers with the judge. His observations in chambers with the judge and of the jury were very helpful.
  
• Because the opposition slowed the timeframe to present their side of the case, the judge suggested the trial could roll into a second week. As an attorney you know what a jam this can be on your schedule, to have a trial spill into the following week.
  
• Sarath’s memory and powers of observation kicked into high gear. Sarath had spotted something unique in the opposing counsel's photographs they presented at trial. Sarath then isolated two pivotal images from the body and dash camera footage. The isolated dash and body camera images directly contradicted what the opposition had presented.
  
• Andy Meyer and I shocked the judge and jury with the presentation and exhibits Sarath created. His work helped us prove the officer was innocent of any wrongdoing. It dismantled and destroyed the opposing counsel's theory of the case.
  
• At this point, Sarath’s work on the case opened the door of opportunity for myself and attorney Andrew Meyer to argue case law and then make a motion to strike.
  
• The judge granted a motion to strike, and all charges were dismissed against the officer.
  
• We ended what could have been a two week trial on day four because of Sarath’s help.
  
• He saved me and our client time and money and helped me and the legal team with the case. Our officer was free to go to his family and back to work, doing what he loves the most, being a police officer.
